RAMBAN: 12 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Headquarters, Banihal, organised a “Swachhata Hi Seva” cleanliness campaign exclusively for Army personnel as part of the nationwide cleanliness initiative. The drive aimed to promote hygiene, discipline and environmental responsibility within the unit premises.

Army personnel actively participated in cleaning of the Battalion Headquarters, living areas, workspaces and surrounding zones. The campaign focused on cleaning the surrounding areas of the Battalion Headquarters and nearby public spaces. The campaign included removal of waste, plastic disposal, cleared garbage dumps and promoted awareness on waste segregation and environmental hygiene and maintenance of sanitation facilities, reinforcing the values of cleanliness and collective responsibility.

Officers and Jawans were briefed on the importance of maintaining a clean environment as an extension of military discipline and operational readiness. The initiative highlighted the Army’s commitment to supporting national missions and setting an example through proactive efforts. The Battalion reiterated its resolve to continue such campaigns regularly to ensure a clean and sustainable environment within the unit.
