JAMMU: J&K BJP All Cells Incharge Ved Sharma held a meeting with industrial unit holders of the Digiana Industrial Area to discuss various issues affecting the smooth functioning of industries. The meeting was attended by J&K BJP Industry Cell Convenor Deepak Gupta along with representatives of the industrial fraternity.

Ved Sharma, during the meeting, held detailed discussions on the issue of the lease deeds of industrial units. He pointed out that the reduction in the lease tenure by the concerned authorities has created serious concerns among industrialists and has been strongly opposed by various industrial associations. He assured the participants that the matter would be taken up with the appropriate authorities to safeguard the interests of the industrial sector.

The industrial unit holders also highlighted several long-pending civic and infrastructural issues, including frequent power cuts, inadequate drainage facilities, and the lack of proper security arrangements in the industrial area. They stated that these problems were adversely affecting industrial productivity and creating difficulties for entrepreneurs.

Ved Sharma said that industries are the backbone of economic growth and employment generation, and it is the responsibility of the administration to provide a conducive environment for industrial development. He emphasized that industrialists should not be burdened with avoidable administrative decisions or inadequate infrastructure. Sharma assured the unit holders that all their genuine concerns would be strongly projected before the concerned authorities and that every possible effort would be made to ensure their early resolution.

Deepak Gupta thanked the industrial unit holders for organizing the meeting and for sharing their issues in a constructive manner. He reiterated the BJP's commitment to maintaining continuous dialogue with stakeholders and working towards strengthening the industrial ecosystem in Jammu & Kashmir.

Among those present on the occasion were former Income Tax Commissioner S.K. Sharma, Ved Mahajan, Ram Ratan, and several prominent industrial unit holders of the Digiana Industrial Area.
