  • Cultural outreach across J&K to showcase 25 years of PM Modi’s public service, development journey and technological transformation

JAMMU: From the streets and schools to panchayats, universities and social platforms, the Bharatiya Janata Party is set to take the “untold stories” of India’s development directly to the people through its ‘Namo Sewa Ankahi Kahaniyan’ programme, being organized across Jammu and Kashmir as part of the month-long ‘Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan’.

Addressing a press conference at BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, J&K BJP Convenor for ‘Namo Sewa Ankahi Kahaniyan’ and Party Secretary Arun Kumar Sharma, along with Programme Co-Convenor and Party Secretary Dinesh Sharma, said the programme will use ‘Nukkad Nataks’, cultural presentations and other creative formats to narrate the transformation of India during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service.

Arun Sharma said that the remarkable journey of Narendra Modi, from his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister to his leadership as Prime Minister is being observed through the ‘Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan’, which comprises around 12 mass programmes being conducted across Jammu and Kashmir from September 17 to October 17. He said the initiative, coinciding with the Prime Minister’s birthday, seeks to take the spirit of dedicated public service to every section of society, particularly youth and children.

Sharma said ‘Namo Sewa Ankahi Kahaniyan’ will be organized from September 18 to October 15 at schools, universities, wards, panchayats, social clubs and other prominent public places. Two major programmes will be organized at the provincial headquarters in Jammu and Srinagar, while a minimum of 10 programmes will be conducted in every district.

Arun Sharma said dedicated district-level teams have been constituted to ensure effective execution, with special emphasis on musical and cultural presentations. The programmes will be presented in Dogri and Kashmiri so that the message reaches people in their own regional languages and cultural idiom.

Sharma further said the programme will bring before the people the “said and unsaid stories” of India’s transformation, highlighting development, technological advancement and other achievements through engaging cultural performances.

Dinesh Sharma said the programme reflects BJP’s organizational approach of taking its message beyond conventional platforms and connecting directly with people at the grassroots through creative and participatory initiatives.
