BARAMULLA: Continuing its sustained efforts under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), Police in Baramulla organised an awareness programme at Government Middle School (GMS) Kawcheck Kreeri aimed at educating students and staff about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of building a healthy and drug-free society.

During the programme, participants were sensitized about the social, psychological, and legal consequences of substance abuse. Speakers emphasized the crucial role of youth, teachers, and parents in preventing the spread of drug addiction and promoting positive values among society.

As part of the initiative, students and staff members also took a collective pledge to work towards a drug-free society and to remain vigilant against the menace of narcotics. The event was followed by an awareness rally in and around the area, carrying banners and raising slogans promoting the message of ā€œNasha Mukt Bharat.ā€

The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and local residents, reflecting strong community support for the ongoing anti-drug campaign. Police remains committed towards creating awareness at the grassroots level and urges the general public, especially the youth, to actively support the fight against drug abuse for a safer and healthier society.
