BUDGAM: Continuing its sustained efforts under the ongoing 100-Day Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyaan, Police in Budgam conducted a series of anti-drug awareness programmes, community outreach activities, and village-level Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings across the district.

As part of the campaign, Police organised Street Plays (Nukkad Nataks) at Mouchwa, awareness interactions with shopkeepers and other dealers at Main Market Soibugh, and a Poster/Slogan Competition at PM Shri GBHS Humhama. In addition, village-level PCPG meetings were held at various locations including Kawoosa Narbal, GMS Zoolwa Mouchwa, Jeelan Abad Humhama, Rathson Beerwah, Hardushurash Khag, Futlipora Pakherpora, and Zabbigullah Hardupanzo.

These programmes were aimed at creating mass awareness regarding the harmful effects of drug abuse and encouraging active community participation in eradicating the menace from society.

During the interactions, police officers sensitised participants about the importance of remaining vigilant against drug-related activities and urged the general public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in maintaining a safe, healthy, and drug-free society.

Police reiterated its commitment to continue such awareness and enforcement initiatives under the Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyaan to safeguard the youth and strengthen the fight against narcotics.
