GANDERBAL: Continuing its sustained efforts to eradicate the menace of drug abuse from society, police in Ganderbal organised a series of awareness and preventive activities across the district under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan.

As part of the initiative, urine drug screening was conducted at Gund by Police Station Gund in collaboration with the medical team of PHC Gund. The screening programme was aimed at early detection, prevention and spreading awareness regarding the harmful effects of substance abuse.

Meanwhile, a Nasha Mukt Abhiyan Rally was also organised at Wakura jointly by the Civil Administration and Ganderbal Police. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from officials and members of the public, carrying messages against drug abuse and promoting a healthy and drug-free society.

Police remains committed towards creating awareness among the youth and the general public and urged the community members to cooperate in making the district drug-free under the ongoing Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan.
