JAMMU: Earth Day was marked with enthusiasm at the Wadia Museum of Natural History, University of Jammu, through a series of educational and awareness-driven activities aimed at promoting environmental consciousness.

The Wadia Museum, known for its extensive collection of rocks, minerals, and fossils, served as an ideal venue for fostering a deeper understanding of Earth’s history and natural heritage. The celebrations brought together students and faculty, who actively participated in exhibitions showcasing natural history and biodiversity.

A range of informative lectures and presentations focused on environmental conservation, while awareness programs highlighted pressing global issues such as climate change and pollution. Interactive sessions further enriched the experience by connecting geological knowledge with contemporary environmental challenges.

The initiative sought to sensitize students to the urgent need for protecting natural resources and to encourage the adoption of sustainable practices. By integrating scientific learning with environmental responsibility, the Wadia Museum continues to play a vital role in making Earth Day both meaningful and impactful.
