POONCH: As part of the nationwide 150 National Pride “Vande Mataram” celebration, a plantation drive was organised today at the office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Poonch. The drive was led by Chief Medical Officer, Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Khan. Doctors, paramedical staff and other employees of the Health Department also participated. The programme aimed to promote environmental conservation while fostering a sense of patriotism and collective responsibility towards the nation.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Khan highlighted the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance and safeguarding public health. During the drive, a number of saplings were planted within the CMO office premises, symbolising commitment towards sustainability, cleanliness and national pride. The staff members also pledged to continue similar activities in future and spread awareness about environmental protection in their respective areas.

The plantation drive concluded with a message of unity, patriotism and responsibility towards nature, aligning with the broader objectives of the 150 anniversary  of National Pride Vande Mataram campaign.
