AKHNOOR: In a significant step towards environmental conservation, Synergetic Green Warriors Foundation (SGWF) organized a cleanliness drive at Jia Pota Ghat, Akhnoor, in collaboration with Shri Mandir Ghat Committee Akhnoor and Sant Nirankari Mission Akhnoor. The drive was conducted under Mission Amrit: Swachh Jal, Swachh Man, inspired by Dr. Sonia Verma, Director/CEO of SGWF.

The cleanliness drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from volunteers across Akhnoor, including MLA Akhnoor Mohan Lal Bhagat, local residents, and members of partner organizations. Volunteers actively engaged in removing waste, plastic, and other pollutants from the ghat, ensuring a cleaner and healthier environment for the community.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Mohan Lal Bhagat emphasized the significance of cleanliness around water bodies, stating that pollutants draining into water sources are a major cause of various ailments. He urged people to take responsibility for keeping their surroundings clean and to prevent contamination of water bodies for the well-being of future generations.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sonia Verma highlighted the importance of maintaining clean water bodies and surroundings, emphasizing that community-driven initiatives like these play a vital role in fostering environmental responsibility. She urged citizens to actively participate in such initiatives and adopt sustainable practices to preserve natural resources.

SGWF remains committed to promoting ecological awareness and sustainability through various campaigns and drives. The foundation extends its gratitude to all participants for their dedication to the cause and urges more people to join hands in making Akhnoor cleaner
