RAMBAN: The Forest Division Ramban marked the International Day of Biodiversity 2025 by conducting a series of plantation drives aimed at strengthening the bond between people and the natural world. The events were held under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, and were led by Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Ankit Sinha.

Major plantations were conducted at Nagarvatika Kunda and the Forest Range Office Complex Ramban, with the plantation of   medicinal plants. The efforts highlighted the significance of conserving biodiversity through the protection and propagation of native medicinal flora.

Other plantation drives were carried out across Kunda, Ramban, Gool and Banihal, where Range Officer Vinod Kumar Sharma mobilized the local people towards active participation. These initiatives aimed to foster ecological awareness and underline the importance of biodiversity conservation at the grassroots level. The Forest Division reaffirmed its commitment to promoting sustainable environmental practices and preserving the region's rich biodiversity for future generations.
