JAMMU: J&K BJP General Secretary Baldev Singh Billawaria reviewed various programmes being conducted in connection with the ongoing Budget Janjagran Abhiyan during a meeting held at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. The meeting focused on assessing outreach initiatives undertaken by different cells and morchas to spread awareness about the key provisions and people-centric initiatives of the Union Budget 2026.

Addressing the meeting, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that the Union Budget reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of inclusive development, ensuring that benefits reach the last person in the queue. He emphasized that BJP workers must actively engage with different sections of society to explain how the budget strengthens economic stability, boosts employment, and supports vulnerable and working-class communities. The Budget Janjagran Abhiyan is not merely a programme, but a mission to connect policies with people and ensure transparency, trust and participation, he stated.

Reiterating BJP’s commitment, Baldev Billawaria affirmed that under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the government remains dedicated to empowering traders, labourers, SCs, OBCs, professionals and youth, ensuring that development reaches every household and strengthens the socio-economic fabric of the nation.

J&K BJP All Cells Incharge Ved Sharma focused on key central budget concerns and reviewed pending programmes related to the Union Budget. He convened representatives of various cells and morchas, urging them to intensify grassroots-level interactions. He highlighted that the Union Budget has special focus on unregistered labour (shramik) through enhanced social security coverage, expansion of skill development initiatives, and increased allocation for health, insurance and housing schemes aimed at informal workers.

Ved Sharma further noted that Industry Cell, SC Morcha and OBC Morcha have effectively conducted programmes to educate unregistered labourers about employment generation schemes, skill upgradation, and welfare initiatives. The Trade Cell, ULB, Tourism and Professional Cells have organized traders’ meetings to highlight budget provisions such as MSME credit support, simplified compliance mechanisms, infrastructure development, tourism promotion, and incentives for startups and professionals, which are expected to strengthen local businesses and generate employment in Jammu & Kashmir.

SC Morcha President Dharminder Kumar, Sham Langer, Pawan Singh, Bharat Bhushan, Deepak Kapahi, Deepak Gupta, Ajay Gupta, G.R. Bhagat and others participated in the meeting.
