JAMMU: IQAC and Placement Cell of Government College of Education Jammu organized a successful campus placement drive, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to student career development. The event was held on the college campus and witnessed active participation from final-year students across various disciplines.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., one of the country’s leading automobile manufacturers, conducted interviews and selection rounds for various technical and management roles. The drive offered students an invaluable opportunity to interact with industry professionals and explore job opportunities with a reputed organization.

The College Principal Dr. Jyoti Parihar applauded the dedicated efforts of the Placement Cell and emphasized the critical role such drives play in shaping students' futures. “Campus placements bridge the gap between academic learning and professional careers. It is heartening to see top companies like Maruti Suzuki recognizing the potential of our students,” she remarked. On the occasion Prof Satish Sharma, Senior Professor said that placements are a vital part of any academic institution, particularly in government colleges, as they provide students with direct pathways to industry roles. Prof Rajinder Kour, Coordinator B.Ed. and M.Ed. Courses also motivated the students to remain open to the new prospects offered by Multi National Companies.

The placement drive was successfully coordinated by the team of faculty organizers, Prof. Shalini Rana, Prof. Balwan Singh, Prof. Suraj Prakash and Prof. Ambica Sharma.  The student hosts like Rudardev Singh, V. Surjalakshmi and Sourav also played a key role in the management of the program. The recruiting team from Maruti Suzuki was led by SukeshKoul, Group HR & Strategy Growth, accompanied by Aman Koul, Group Head, Call Centre and Ms Komal Kachroo, HR executive.
