SRINAGAR: Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Faz Lul Haseeb, today chaired a review meeting to assess the status of Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) works for the financial year 2025-26. The meeting focused on monitoring the progress of ongoing projects, identifying bottlenecks, and ensuring timely completion of initiatives aimed at improving urban infrastructure and civic amenities across the city.

During the review, the Commissioner examined the progress of key CAPEX projects across sectors including roads, drainage, water supply, sanitation, public parks, and energy-efficient urban infrastructure. Detailed discussions were held on project implementation timelines, quality standards, fund utilization, and coordination between departments and implementing agencies.

Commissioner stressed the importance of strict adherence to deadlines, optimal resource utilization, and continuous monitoring to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and deliver maximum benefit to Srinagar residents.

He also directed officials to proactively address challenges affecting project execution and to submit regular status updates for timely decision-making. Concluding the meeting, the Commissioner reaffirmed SMC’s commitment to sustainable and technology-driven urban development.
