Taking off from the border village of Sherpur, the rally carried the message of patriotism from the country's frontier to Lakhanpur, symbolising the collective resolve to celebrate the Tricolour with pride and honour. A large number of participants riding motorcycles adorned with the national flag created a spectacular visual as the rally traversed the route, drawing enthusiastic responses from people along the way.

The spirited participation of youth, police and security forces further added energy and vibrancy to the rally, making it a memorable spectacle of unity, patriotism and public participation.

The Tiranga Bike Rally also highlighted the District Administration's efforts to take the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign beyond ceremonial observance and transform it into a people-centric movement, encouraging citizens to celebrate the national flag with dignity and a renewed sense of belonging.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma said that the Tiranga Bike Rally from the Zero Line to Lakhanpur symbolised the spirit of a united and proud nation. He appreciated the enthusiastic participation of border residents, youth, Forces, officers and citizens, and called upon the people of Kathua to actively participate in the Independence Day celebrations and make the Har Ghar Tiranga and Vande Mataram campaigns a true people's movement.

She appreciated the collective enthusiasm displayed during the rally, saying that the participation of all sections, including the Forces, added special significance to the event and reinforced the spirit of national unity and commitment to the nation.

The rally culminated at Lakhanpur, the traditional gateway to Jammu and Kashmir, with the Tricolour prominently displayed throughout the journey. The event conveyed a strong message of unity, national pride and collective participation in the celebrations marking the 80th Independence Day and the 150-year journey of Vande Mataram.

The District Administration Kathua has been organising a series of programmes under the Har Ghar Tiranga and Vande Mataram campaigns to deepen public participation and foster the spirit of patriotism among citizens, particularly the youth, through diverse community-based activities.
