BARAMULLA: To encourage maximum voter participation ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, the District Administration Baramulla today organized a grand SVEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation) program in the main town of Baramulla.

The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of hundreds of new voters who came together and joined hands to form a human chain, symbolizing unity and commitment towards a vibrant democratic process.

The rally, which commenced from Govt Boys' Higher Secondary School, Baramulla, proceeded through the main town, with participants carrying banners and placards, highlighting the importance of voting and the power of individual voices in shaping the future of the region.

The human chain, formed by the energetic new voters, not only aimed to inspire the first-time voters but also to remind the broader community of the importance of exercising their voting rights.

The event also saw the participation of the Returning Officer for 10-Baramulla, Arshad Ahmad Khan, Nodal Officer for SVEEP in Baramulla, along with other officers and officials of district administration.

Following the rally, a signature campaign was organized at Kariapa Park where the new voters and other citizens pledged their commitment to participate in the forthcoming elections.
