PAMPORE: As a part of  ongoing efforts to enhance voter education and awareness, a Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme was conducted today at two venues within the Pampore Assembly Constituency including High School Konibal and Upper Primary School Andrusa.

The programme saw participation of the Nodal Officer for AC-Pampore, the Zonal Nodal Officer, Heads of Institutions, local residents and students. The event featured an array of cultural performances by the students, including traditional Rouf, skits, Ladishah and other engaging activities. These performances were aimed at encouraging electoral awareness and community participation in a creative manner.

In addition to the cultural segment, the Nodal Officers delivered brief lectures emphasizing the importance of electoral participation and the role of each citizen in shaping democracy through voting. The message was clear—every vote counts and voter participation is essential for free and fair elections.

The programme concluded with an interactive session led by the Nodal Officer for AC-Pampore and the Zonal Nodal Officer, where they engaged with the parents of the students present. Discussions revolved around the importance of the SVEEP programme and how families can contribute to boosting voter turnout in the upcoming Assembly Elections.

Simultaneously, Huda Cluster Level Federation (CLF) Konibal, Pampore (32-AC) also organized an impressive SVEEP programme at Awantipora Cluster Level Federation in Chersoo.

The event targeted members of the Self Help Groups (SHGs) and the general public to promote voter education. Emphasis was placed on increasing voter turnout and raising awareness about the significance of each vote in the democratic process. The programme also underlined the key role of SVEEP initiatives in ensuring an informed electorate.
