DODA: A door-to-door campaign under the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program was organized on the 8th day of the  campaign, which commenced on August 22, 2024 for all schools in the  Doda District. The campaign was held under the guidance of District Election Officer  Harvinder Singh and overall supervision of Chief Education Officer Doda, Parkash Lal Thapa, who is also the Nodal Officer for SVEEP

The campaign aimed to promote electoral awareness and encourage citizens to exercise their right to vote. Students, teachers, and other staff from various schools visited households, distributing voter awareness materials and educating citizens about the importance of voting in the upcoming Assembly Elections on September 18, 2024.

The door-to-door campaign was a key component of the SVEEP action plan, designed to reach out to citizens directly, address their queries and concerns about the electoral process, and encourage them to participate in the democratic process. Our goal is to ensure that every eligible citizen exercises their right to vote and contributes to the democratic process, Chief Education Officer Doda Parkash Lal Thapa said.

The initiative demonstrates the district's commitment to strengthening democracy and promoting civic engagement. The campaign was a success, promoting electoral awareness and encouraging citizens to cast their valuable votes in the upcoming Assembly Elections
