JAMMU: The Nations Development Association (NDA) is pleased to announce a significant restructuring within its team, aimed at enhancing its mission and strategic objectives.

On July 15, 2024, the previous team of the NDA was officially dissolved. Following this transition, the NDA is excited to unveil its new structure, effective July 23, 2024. Swarn Singh has been appointed as the new Chairman, bringing a wealth of experience and a fresh vision to the organization.

Sushil Singh Charak, Founder of the Nations Development Association (NDA) in 2013 and instrumental in its affiliation with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, will now serve as the General Secretary. His continued involvement is expected to provide valuable continuity and insight into the NDA’s ongoing initiatives.

Sushil Singh Charak stated, “Swarn Singh is my elder brother, and I am happy to see him as the new Chairman of NDA. He has been a significant social activist since 2002 and has made a remarkable impact, including helping over 150 girls get married. I am inspired by his dedication and am pleased to offer him this new assignment. His efforts will greatly benefit the people of Jammu and Kashmir.” The new team is committed to advancing the NDA’s mission and ensuring effective governance as the organization embarks on its next chapter.

A Profound Loss: JK Monitor Mourns the Passing of Founding Chairman Dr. Priya Ranjan

We at JK Monitor are profoundly saddened by the sudden demise of our Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan.IN LOVING MEMORY Dr Priya Ranjan

A brilliant mind who studied at Netarhat Residential School and graduated in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur before earning his PhD from the University of Maryland, Dr. Ranjan chose to return to India and dedicate his life to teaching, research and social good.

His pioneering work in networked systems, AI, robotics and biomedical applications—especially computer-vision tools for early detection of cancer and heart disease—reflected his deep belief that advanced technology must serve humanity.

For more than 15 years at JK Monitor, he remained a loyal friend, mentor and collaborator, marked by rare humility, intellectual integrity and quiet generosity. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. Priya, you will be deeply missed. Your life continues to remind us that knowledge finds its highest purpose in the service of others.
