KUPWARA: In a mission-mode push to deepen public participation in the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, the District Administration Kupwara today organized a mega Tiranga Rally in Kupwara town, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, officials and citizens alike.

The Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, being observed nationwide from August 9 to 17, 2026, is a flagship initiative under the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, aimed at fostering a deep sense of personal connection with the National Flag and encouraging every household to hoist the Tricolour as a mark of patriotism and national pride.

The rally also drew inspiration from the ongoing Vande Mataram Campaign, being observed nationwide since last year to commemorate 150 years of the National Song, further reinforcing the collective spirit of national pride and reverence for the motherland among the participants.

The rally was flagged off from BHSS Kupwara by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, and SSP Kupwara, Syed Al Tahir Gilani. The procession passed through the General Bus Stand, Kupwara, culminating at the D.C. Office Complex, Kupwara.

Adding further vigour to the celebrations, a bike rally and bicycle rally were also flagged off on the occasion, with a large number of students carrying the Tricolour and raising patriotic slogans.

District Officers, sector officers and officials from various departments joined the rally, with thousands of participants marking one of the district's largest turnouts for the campaign so far, further strengthening the collective push to make Har Ghar Tiranga a vibrant, inclusive public movement.

Tiranga rallies and allied activities were also conducted across all sub-divisions, tehsils and blocks of the district, reflecting the collective spirit of unity, patriotism and reverence for the National Flag, and further strengthening the message of Har Ghar Tiranga and the 150th anniversary celebrations of Vande Mataram across Kupwara district.
