  • DC leads the Rally, administers Pledge to participants, pays tribute to the freedom fighters

ANANTNAG: A massive Har Ghar Tiranga rally was on Wednesday held at Anatnag with thousands of people participating in it to celebrate the spirit of the tricolor. The rally was flagged-off by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ananthag, Syed Fakhruddin Hamid from the Sports Stadium.

The rally, that started from the Sports Stadium Anantnag, passed through the main town with participants holding the national flag proudly and singing patriotic songs. The rally was attended by senior government officials, public representatives, concerned citizens, and members of Trade associations. The patriotic fervour and enthusiasm was seen in every participant.

At the start of the rally, the DC administered pledge to the participants and paid tribute to the freedom fighters who have sacrificed their lives for the nation. Notably, the Har Ghar Tiranga is an initiative of the Ministry of Culture and the idea behind the initiative was to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.

We at JK Monitor are profoundly saddened by the sudden demise of our Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan.IN LOVING MEMORY Dr Priya Ranjan

A brilliant mind who studied at Netarhat Residential School and graduated in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur before earning his PhD from the University of Maryland, Dr. Ranjan chose to return to India and dedicate his life to teaching, research and social good.

His pioneering work in networked systems, AI, robotics and biomedical applications—especially computer-vision tools for early detection of cancer and heart disease—reflected his deep belief that advanced technology must serve humanity.

For more than 15 years at JK Monitor, he remained a loyal friend, mentor and collaborator, marked by rare humility, intellectual integrity and quiet generosity.
