  • DC appreciates massive, enthusiastic public participation especially of youth in campaign

BUDGAM: As part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Athar Aamir Khan along with SSP Budgam, Hariprasad KK today flagged off two major Bike and Bicycle Rallies from Sports Stadium Budgam, witnessing enthusiastic participation of hundreds of bikers and cyclists from across the district.

Organised to promote patriotism, national unity and respect for the National Flag, the rallies passed through District Hospital Road and Old Bus Adda before culminating at the Clock Tower near New Bus Stand, Budgam.

Students, youth groups, government employees and citizens from different walks of life participated in the rallies, proudly carrying the Tricolour and raising patriotic slogans along the route.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign has evoked an overwhelming public response across Budgam, with a wide range of activities being organised in schools, Gram Panchayats, blocks, tehsils and at the district level.

He particularly appreciated the enthusiastic participation of youth, noting that the Bike Rally by local youth and the Bicycle Rally by school students reflected a strong sense of patriotism and collective ownership of the campaign.

The Deputy Commissioner said the massive participation of people across the district is a matter of pride and urged citizens, particularly the youth, to continue their active involvement and sustain the patriotic fervour till the culmination of the campaign on August 17.

Among others present on the occasion were ADDC Budgam Vivek Agarwal, Joint Director Planning, Chief Education Officer, DYSSO and other senior officers and officials. Pertinently, the District Administration Budgam is organising a series of programmes across the district under the  Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, adding vibrancy to the celebrations while reinforcing the message of unity, patriotism and respect for the National Flag.
