DODA: District Programme Officer Poshan Doda, S. Paramjeet Singh conducted a surprise visit to the Bal Vidyalayas of the Poshan project in Bhaderwah. The surprise inspection aimed to ensure the adherence to norms and guidelines set for the proper functioning of these educational institutions.
During the visit, S. Paramjeet Singh expressed concerns about the compliance with established standards and provided stringent instructions to the Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs) and supervisors. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards in the functioning of Bal Vidyalayas, which play a crucial role in the early development and nutrition of children under the Poshan Abhiyaan initiative.
The Poshan project, also known as the Prime Ministerās Overarching Scheme for Holistic Nutrition (POSHAN Abhiyaan), aims to address malnutrition and promote the overall health and development of children. Singh reiterated the significance of regular monitoring and accountability to ensure that the objectives of the Poshan Abhiyaan are met. He also stressed the need for proper record-keeping, regular health check-ups, and the provision of nutritious meals to the children.
In addition to these directives, Singh urged the CDPOs and supervisors to foster a child-friendly environment within the Bal Vidyalayas. He called for the implementation of engaging and educational activities that promote cognitive and social development. Ensuring the active participation of parents and community members in the Poshan project was also highlighted as a key factor in its success.
