DODA: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda Krishan Lal today chaired a meeting in the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex to assess the progress of works being executed under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) in the district.

During the meeting, the DDC reviewed the major works being executed under the scheme, including DTR capacity-wise progress, the status of installation of distribution transformers (DTRs), LT stringing and smart meter installation. He also took stock of the execution status of MCM-quality AB cables and ST poles being installed in different areas of the district.

The concerned officers briefed the meeting on the progress achieved since the last review meeting and the action taken on the directions issued earlier. Various bottlenecks affecting the pace of implementation were discussed and the DDC directed the concerned departments and executing agencies to resolve the pending issues in a time-bound manner.

The DDC stressed the need for close coordination among all stakeholders to ensure the smooth and effective execution of works. Emphasising the importance of timely completion, the DDC instructed the officers to expedite the implementation of all RDSS projects while maintaining the prescribed quality standards. He directed that all works be completed within the stipulated timelines so that the benefits of improved and reliable power infrastructure are delivered to the people at the earliest.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs), Assistant Engineers (AEs), Junior Engineers (JEs) from all Electric Divisions of the district, representatives of the executing agencies, stakeholders and other concerned officials.
