RAMBAN: Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC) Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan, conducted an extensive tour in various remotest panchayats to review the developmental scenario and address the concerns of the local populace in inaccessible areas of the Sub Division Ramsoo. The Chairperson was accompanied by the BDO Ramsoo, BDO Ukhral and officers from concerned departments.

The visit included stops at Dargali Khowra and Panchayat Sujmanta-A, where the Chairperson inspected the functioning of local schools and reviewed the Mid-Day Meal being provided to the students. During the visit, local residents presented their grievances and key demands, which included improved road connectivity and drainage systems for Dardahi- Sujmatna, and the deployment of staff in the New Type Primary Health Center (NTPHC) and local schools.

The Chairperson addressed various concerns promptly, issuing on-the-spot directions to the concerned departments to resolve all genuine issues. She encouraged the locals to take advantage of job and beneficiary-oriented schemes offered by different departments, emphasizing the importance of community participation in developmental initiatives.

Assuring the community of her commitment to addressing their issues, Dr. Shan urged the residents to provide land for the construction of public interest projects, particularly the proposed road project for the area, which is expected to significantly improve connectivity and access.

During the tour, the Chairperson also inspected several ongoing developmental works and the functioning of different departments in the area. She emphasized the importance of efficient implementation of developmental schemes and projects like JJM and augmentation of power infrastructure to ensure the overall growth and progress of the region.
