JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu & Kashmir General Secretary & former Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria, today inaugurated the development works on the second floor of the Dogra Sewa Sambhal Trust (Regd.) at Gangyal in Jammu.

It is pertinent to mention that the construction and development of the ground floor and the hall on the first floor of the Trust premises have already been completed. With the commencement of work on the second floor, the Trust will have additional infrastructure to further expand and effectively organise its various social welfare and public service activities.

Speaking on the occasion, Billawaria said that true social service is not merely about helping someone in need, but about giving them hope, confidence and a pathway towards a better future. He appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Dogra Sewa Sambhal Trust in serving underprivileged and needy sections of society and said that its initiatives are strengthening the spirit of service, cooperation and humanity in the community.

“No person in need should ever feel alone. Standing beside someone during difficult times is not only our social responsibility but also a reflection of our values and culture,” Billawaria said.He further stated that the development of the second floor would provide the Trust with better facilities to undertake its service activities in a more systematic and effective manner, enabling it to reach out to a larger number of beneficiaries.

Billawaria said, “A building becomes meaningful only when its walls become a source of service and hope for society. We envision this campus emerging as a strong centre of assistance for the needy, guidance for the youth and dedicated service to society.”He congratulated all office-bearers and members of the Trust on the commencement of the development works and expressed hope that the organization would continue its journey of service with the same dedication and commitment.

He emphasised that taking forward the spirit of “Sewa, Sahyog and Sanskar” (Service, Cooperation and Values) while working together for every section of society is the need of the hour.

Highlighting the Trust’s vision, Trust President Rajiv Sharma said that the objective of the organisation is not merely to construct a building, but to develop the premises into a meaningful and sustainable centre dedicated to social service.

He informed that the Trust has been undertaking several welfare initiatives, including awareness programmes against drug abuse, free hall facilities for the marriages and social functions of daughters from needy and economically weaker families, and financial support for the education of underprivileged children.Rajiv Sharma said that the Trust plans to further expand its activities in the coming days, particularly in the areas of education support for needy children, awareness among youth against drug abuse, and assistance to poor and economically weaker families.Among those present on the occasion were Trust office-bearers and members Ranjit Singh, Mulk Raj, Isher Singh (Noni), Joginder Kumar Suri, Ajay Pratap Singh, Dr. Kuldeep Gupta, Narinder Singh, Jagdish Manhas and Kamal Mehra, besides other prominent members and well-wishers.
