JAMMU: The Indian Institute of Management Jammu conducted a Joint Security Exercise at its Jagti Campus today on 12th Aug 2026 in coordination with the National Security Guard (NSG), J&K Police, Special Operations Group (SOG) Jammu, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and IIM Jammu Security Staff. The exercise was organised as part of the ongoing security preparedness measures ahead of Independence Day, with a focus on strengthening inter-agency coordination, enhancing operational readiness, and ensuring an effective and coordinated response to any unforeseen contingency.

The exercise provided the participating agencies an opportunity to undertake coordinated security procedures, assess existing security arrangements, review communication and response mechanisms, and further strengthen interoperability among the various stakeholders. The coordinated drill also reinforced the importance of seamless communication and timely response in ensuring a robust security environment across the campus.

Prof. B. S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, commended the professional participation and dedicated efforts of all the participating forces and security personnel. He emphasised that such joint exercises play a vital role in strengthening preparedness, enhancing coordination, reducing response time, and improving the overall effectiveness of security agencies in addressing potential security challenges. He further stated that the safety and security of students, faculty, staff, and all members of the IIM Jammu community remains a key priority of the Institute.

Thel conduct of the Joint Security Exercise reaffirmed the collective commitment of all participating agencies towards maintaining a strong, coordinated, and responsive security architecture at IIM Jammu. The exercise also underscored the importance of continuous preparedness and collaboration among security agencies to ensure a safe and secure environment for the entire IIM Jammu community.
