• Conducts Shop Inspections Near Schools Under Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyaan

AJAS & HAJIN: Continuing its intensified enforcement and public outreach initiatives under the ongoing 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, police in Bandipora organised large-scale drug awareness programmes in Ajas and Hajin. In addition, police, along with the Executive Magistrate in Ajas, conducted inspections of shops located in close vicinity of schools under the jurisdiction of Police Post Ajas to check the unauthorised sale of contraband drugs and tobacco products.

Police Post Ajas organised a drug awareness programme at Iqbal Memorial Public School Ajas in collaboration with the Executive Magistrate. During the programme, the harmful effects of drug abuse were highlighted, and emphasis was laid on adopting a healthy, disciplined lifestyle. The programme concluded with the administration of a pledge wherein participants vowed to refrain from substance abuse and to actively discourage others from engaging in such practices.

Similarly, a drug awareness programme was organised at Hajin by PS Hajin in collaboration with the Municipal Committee Hajin, civil society members, local chemists, and drug distributors. The programme focused on sensitising the public, particularly the youth, about the ill effects of drug abuse and encouraged a coordinated community response to eradicate the menace of drugs. Moreover PS Hajin also held a awareness programme at Govt High School Hajin in which student and teaching staff of the school participated in large numbers.
