• Searches & Vehicle Checking Conducted in Rajpora | Illegal Poppy Straw Destroyed

PULWAMA: Continuing its sustained efforts under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, police in Pulwama carried out intensified enforcement measures in the jurisdiction of Police Station Rajpora to curb drug-related activities and maintain strict vigil against narcotics trafficking.

During the operation, extensive searches were conducted in various villages of Rajpora, targeting the houses of suspected drug peddlers as part of the ongoing crackdown against local narcotics networks. Simultaneously, vehicle checking was also intensified at multiple locations to monitor suspicious movement and prevent transportation of contraband substances.

Meanwhile, continuing the drive against illegal cultivation, poppy straw grown alongside vegetables at Zaigam by one Tariq Ahmad Wani resident of Rahmoo was identified and destroyed on the spot to prevent its misuse and discourage unlawful cultivation activities.

Police reiterates its firm resolve to continue sustained action under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan and appeals to the public to actively support the mission by sharing any information related to drug trafficking or substance abuse.
