BARAMULLA: As part of the ongoing efforts under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, police in Baramulla, in collaboration with the Sports Association Pattan and Civil Society Pattan, organized a large-scale Drug-Free Awareness Rally at Pattan today to promote awareness against the menace of drug abuse.

The rally commenced from Pandu Park Pattan and concluded at Sports Stadium Pattan near Government Degree College Pattan. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various sections of society, including members of the Sports Association Pattan, Transport Association Pattan, Auqaf Committee Pattan, students, teachers, and staff from different educational institutions.

Participants carried placards and raised slogans emphasizing the importance of a drug-free society and the collective responsibility of citizens in combating drug abuse. The rally served as a platform to educate the public, especially the youth, about the harmful consequences of narcotics and the need to remain vigilant against the drug menace.

Police appreciates the active support and participation of all stakeholders, civil society members, educational institutions, and community organizations in making the event a success. Such collaborative initiatives strengthen community-police partnerships and contribute significantly towards building a safer, healthier, and drug-free society.

The rally concluded peacefully at Sports Stadium Pattan with participants reaffirming their commitment to support the fight against drug abuse and work collectively towards a drug-free future.
