• 15 Drug samples randomly lifted for ascertaining their quality parameters

KULGAM: In continuous efforts to achieve 100 percent transparency in sale and purchase of Scheduled Drug formulations, the Drug Control officials of Kulgam District today carried out surprise inspections at various locations of Kulgam. During the inspections, two Wholesale medical agencies were found violating the conditions of licenses and their discrepancies in the sale purchase records lead to their operation being disallowed on the spot, and have been put on show-cause notices.

Moreover 15 drug samples were randomly lifted for ascertaining their quality parameters. Authorities have reiterated the importance of adhering to regulatory guidelines and complying with mandatory Computerized Billing System to bring transparency in sale and purchase records of Schedule Drugs especially those liable to be misused, and have warned that failure to comply will result in strict action and cancellation of licenses.
