DODA: A joint team of enforcement departments today inspected medical shops to check compliance with regulatory orders and lawful sale of medicines in the area. The joint inspection team consisted of local Naib Tehsildar Zakir Hussain Wani; Medical Officer Dr. Sadeeq Wani and Chowki Officer Anil Kumar. During the drive, several medical shops operating in Bhella market were inspected thoroughly.

The team checked authorization documents, licences, maintenance of records, storage conditions of medicines and adherence to prescribed norms governing the sale of drugs and pharmaceutical products.

The shopkeepers were instructed to strictly follow the guidelines issued by the concerned authorities and ensure that medicines requiring prescriptions are not sold without proper authorization.

The officials stressed the importance of responsible drug dispensing practices and warned shopkeepers against any violation related to the illegal sale or misuse of medicines. They also reiterated that strict action would be taken against those found violating the established rules and regulations.

The inspection drive was carried out with the objective of safeguarding public health, ensuring accountability among drug sale establishments and strengthening monitoring mechanisms to prevent the misuse of pharmaceutical drugs in the area.
