BANDIPORA: In a move to enhance healthcare accessibility, the Jan Ashudi Kendra at District Hospital Bandipora has started round-the-clock operations, offering essential medicines at discounted rates. The initiative aims to provide affordable healthcare solutions to patients, easing their financial burden.

Medical Superintendent District Hospital Bandipora, Dr. Masrat Iqbal Wani, stated that the launch of 24x7 services at the Jan Ashudi Kendra will prove beneficial for patients, who earlier had to rely on outside medical shops for medicines at higher prices. “With this facility now available at the hospital, patients will get most of the prescribed medicines at discounted rates, reducing their out-of-pocket expenses and ensuring timely treatment,” he said.

Residents of Bandipora have welcomed the move, appreciating the hospital administration's efforts to improve healthcare services in the region. Many believe that the initiative will provide significant relief, especially to economically weaker sections who struggle with high medical costs.

Patients will benefit from this initiative as they will now have access to medicines at significantly lower costs, making treatment more affordable. The availability of medicines within the hospital premises ensures that they no longer have to depend on external pharmacies, which often sell medicines at higher prices.

This initiative particularly helps financially vulnerable patients who find it difficult to afford expensive branded medicines. Furthermore, the continuous availability of essential drugs at the Jan Ashudi Kendra ensures that there are no delays in treatment, ultimately contributing to better healthcare outcomes for the people of Bandipora.

The introduction of 24x7 services at the Jan Ashudi Kendra marks a positive step in strengthening healthcare facilities in Bandipora, aligning with the government's vision of affordable healthcare for all.
