• Rally, awareness drives & search operations conducted across district

PULWAMA: Continuing its sustained efforts under the ongoing 100 Days Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan (NMJKA), J&K Police in Pulwama organized a massive anti-drug awareness rally at Village Litter in collaboration with the District Administration.

The rally witnessed overwhelming participation from local residents, youth, volunteers and students who came together to raise a united voice against the menace of drug abuse and to promote the vision of a healthy, safe and drug-free society. Participants carried awareness placards and raised anti-drug slogans highlighting the harmful effects of narcotics and the importance of collective community action in eradicating drug abuse. They also pledged to spread awareness within their communities, reflecting strong public resolve towards building a drug-free future, especially among the youth.

Meanwhile, Women Police Station Pulwama held a public awareness drive against drug abuse under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. During the programme, vehicles were stopped outside the police station and drivers as well as passengers were sensitized about the harmful effects of drug abuse. The participants were informed about the devastating impact of narcotics on youth, families and society, and were urged to actively support the collective fight against the drug menace.

In another action under the ongoing anti-drug campaign, Police Station Rajpora conducted an intensive search operation in the houses of suspected drug peddlers at Rajpora. Vehicle checking was also carried out in the area to keep a close vigil on suspicious activities and to strengthen preventive measures against drug trafficking.

Police urged parents, teachers, community leaders and members of civil society to remain vigilant and actively support the collective fight against drug abuse. Police also reiterated its commitment towards intensifying awareness campaigns, preventive initiatives and community outreach programmes to safeguard the younger generation from the menace of drugs.
