BARAMULLA: Continuing its sustained efforts to curb the menace of wild bhang (cannabis) and prevent its misuse for substance abuse, Baramulla Police conducted a special wild bhang destruction drive along the roadside stretch from Twins Bridge to Village Uroosa.

During the drive, wild cannabis plants growing along the roadside were systematically identified and destroyed with the active participation of police personnel and local stakeholders. The operation was carried out peacefully and concluded without any untoward incident, reflecting the importance of coordinated efforts between law-enforcement agencies and the local community in combating substance-abuse related threats.

Police reiterated its commitment to sustained and proactive action against the cultivation and growth of wild cannabis and other activities contributing to substance abuse. Police also urged the general public to remain vigilant and extend their cooperation by reporting the growth or cultivation of cannabis and any other suspicious activity to the nearest police establishment.
