BANDIPORA: A free awareness and screening camp for patients with cleft lip, cleft palate, nasal, facial and cranial deformities was today organized at District Hospital Bandipora. The initiative aimed to identify and support individuals in need of corrective surgery and medical treatment, ensuring that patients, especially children, get access to life-changing healthcare services.

A large number of patients from Bandipora and surrounding areas attended the camp, where they received free medical consultations, screenings, and expert guidance on further treatment. The camp was conducted by Smile Train India, in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Bandipora and District Early Intervention Centre District Hospital Bandipora.

Doctors and healthcare professionals conducted detailed examinations and provided counseling to patients and their families. Those in need of surgical intervention were enrolled for free treatment under Smile Train India’s cleft care program. The initiative is expected to bring hope and improved quality of life to many individuals affected by cleft conditions. Families who attended the camp appreciated the efforts of the organizers, stating that such initiatives are crucial in providing accessible healthcare to underprivileged patients.
