KISHTWAR: The two-day District-Level Seminar cum Awareness Programme on Beekeeping concluded today here in the Conference Hall, DC Office Complex. More than 200 farmers, along with field officers and officials, participated in the seminar, gaining valuable insights into the latest advancements in beekeeping. To further support the farming community, essential Organic Inputs were distributed among the participants.

A series of lectures were delivered by the officers and officials from Agriculture and Allied Departments, besides Krishi Udyamis from different panchayats and progressive beekeepers of the district. The sessions focused on modern apiculture techniques, sustainable beekeeping practices, and commercial-scale honey production. Additionally, field functionaries from Agriculture and Allied Departments played a crucial role in ensuring the event's success. Officials encouraged farmers to adopt modern techniques in apiculture to enhance production levels and contribute to the sector's commercial success.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks, emphasizing the need for greater participation from the farming community to harness the full potential of beekeeping in the district.  The concluding event was presided over by the Chief Agriculture Office Amjad Hussain Malik. Among others present were   DSHO, Dr. Jameel Nasir, District Manager JKEDI, Jatinder Singh Saffron Development Officer, District Agriculture Officer (DAO) and other Officers.
