  • No threat can take Kashmir away from India: Gaurav hits back at Pakistan

JAMMU: BJP Spokesperson and Convenor, International Affairs, Gaurav Gupta has launched a sharp attack on Pakistan’s latest threatening rhetoric, declaring that Islamabad’s repeated warnings will neither intimidate India nor alter the ground reality of Jammu & Kashmir.

Reacting to reports that Pakistan’s Commander of the National Strategic Command, General Syed Aamer Raza, warned that any miscalculation by adversaries would invite a response “far beyond the imagination” of the initiator, Gupta’s proposed response takes aim at what he describes as Pakistan’s habitual politics of threats and provocation. General Raza made the remarks while addressing a passing-out parade at the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul on October 17, 2026.

“Enough of these nuclear threats and hollow boasts. India is not a country that can be intimidated by Pakistan’s rhetoric. These are nothing but gheedar bhabkiyan—empty threats that cannot shake India’s resolve. Pakistan has already learnt that India will not tolerate terrorism, cross-border aggression or any attempt to challenge its sovereignty,**” the proposed statement reads.

Gupta’s message centres on Jammu & Kashmir, asserting that Pakistan must abandon what he calls its outdated and failed narrative over the region. “Jammu & Kashmir is an integral part of India, and no threat from across the border can change this undeniable reality. Pakistan should stop dreaming of influencing Kashmir through provocative speeches and nuclear sabre-rattling. The people of Jammu & Kashmir deserve peace, security, development and opportunities—not intimidation manufactured across the border.”

He further argues that Pakistan’s military leadership should focus on peace and stability rather than issuing dramatic warnings. Nuclear rhetoric, he maintains, raises tensions instead of addressing the region’s real challenges.

“India’s restraint must never be mistaken for weakness. Our nation has the strength, capability and determination to defend every inch of its territory. Pakistan should remember the lessons it has already learnt instead of repeatedly testing India’s patience. No amount of chest-thumping will change the reality of Kashmir.”

Gupta also calls on Islamabad to stop attempting to internationalise the Kashmir issue through provocative statements and to recognise that India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are non-negotiable.

“The message to Pakistan is clear: stop the threats, stop the rhetoric and stop interfering in India’s internal affairs. Kashmir is not a bargaining chip for Pakistan’s military establishment. India will safeguard its national interests with firmness, and no nuclear blackmail will dictate the country’s decisions.”

The proposed statement concludes that lasting peace in the region requires an end to threats, terrorism and cross-border interference—not another round of inflammatory speeches.
