POONCH: In view of the commencement of the new academic session, the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Poonch, Mukhtar Ahmed Manhas convened a comprehensive meeting with the Heads of Institutions (HoIs) of Zone Mandi to review preparedness and outline key academic priorities for the session ahead. The meeting was attended by Tehsildar Mandi, Ashfaq Hussain, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Mandi, Anwar Khan along with all Heads of High and Higher Secondary Schools and representatives from 56 Middle Schools across the zone.
During the meeting, CEO Poonch issued detailed instructions regarding various academic aspects, including the effective implementation of initiatives under Samagra Shiksha, classroom transaction improvements, student learning outcomes and monitoring mechanisms. He emphasized the need for a structured and result-oriented approach to ensure academic excellence across all institutions.
A significant highlight of the programme was the distribution of the book âTransforming Educators from Chalkboard to AIâ authored by ZEO Mandi, Anwar Khan. Copies of the book were provided to all schools in Zone Mandi with the objective of encouraging teachers to embrace innovative pedagogical practices and integrate technology into classroom teaching.
On the occasion, the CEO also distributed Anaemia Testing Machines to all Cluster Heads of Zone Mandi. These machines were procured at a cost of âč3 lakh under the aegis of Samagra Shiksha, with the aim of strengthening health screening mechanisms and ensuring the well-being of students, particularly adolescent girls.
