KULGAM: A Refresher Training Programme for lecturers, masters and teachers was successfully conducted today at BHSS Kulgam under the Adolescence Education Programme (AEP) aimed at strengthening awareness and guidance related to adolescent health and education.
Programme was presided over by the Cheif Education Officer Kulgam, Abdul Gani Bhat and training session was organised by the Chief Education Office, Kulgam in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) and the Jammu & Kashmir AIDS Control Society (JKACS), Department of Health & Medical Education.
During the programme, extensive and focused deliberations were held to enhance participantsâ understanding of the framework and objectives of the Adolescence Education Programme. The sessions particularly emphasised the role of teachers in guiding adolescents through informed counselling, awareness about health issues, and promoting responsible behaviour among students.
Resource persons and subject experts shared valuable insights on various aspects of adolescent education, including life skills, health awareness, and the importance of creating a supportive and informed school environment for young learners.
The programme witnessed active participation from lecturers, masters and teachers from different institutions of the district, who engaged in interactive discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions aimed at ensuring effective implementation of the programme at the school level.
