On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner also inaugurated a portable handheld X-ray machine provided by the Jammu and Kashmir Bank under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) support at a cost of âč25 lakh. The campaign focuses on early detection of TB cases through X-ray screening and NAAT testing, particularly among vulnerable sections, to ensure timely diagnosis and treatment.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of community participation, early detection, and awareness in achieving the goal of a TB-free India. He directed the Health Department and allied stakeholders to work in close coordination to ensure effective implementation of the campaign and outreach to every vulnerable individual in the district.
