Illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, J&K Police seizes 02 vehicles in Awantipora

AWANTIPORA: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, J&K Police in Awantipora seized 02 Dumpers involved in unauthorized extraction and transportation of minerals in the Zantrag area during routine patrolling.

The action was carried out by a police party headed by SHO Police Station Khrew. During the patrol, two Dumpers were found engaged in illegal mining activities and were immediately seized. Accordingly, a Case  FIR No.63/2026 has been registered and investigation has been taken up. Police remains committed to taking strict action against illegal mining and urges the public to cooperate with the police by reporting any such unlawful activities.
