SAMBA: As part of the ongoing Swachhta Pakhwada 2024, a series of impactful activities were conducted today under the supervision of Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr. Vidhi Bhatial at the CMO office complex, Samba. These initiatives aimed to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness and the prevention of vector-borne diseases like Dengue.

The day's events commenced with a rally led by Dr. Vidhi Bhatial where participants marched through the streets chanting slogans like "Swachhta Apnao, Bimari Bhagao," advocating for clean surroundings and healthy living. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from the community, who joined hands in spreading the message of hygiene and cleanliness.

Following the rally, dedicated malaria teams from the district took proactive measures to prevent the spread of Dengue. The teams strategically placed Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) posters around the Deputy Commissioner (DC) complex, highlighting crucial information on Dengue prevention. Additionally, a comprehensive spraying campaign was conducted in and around the area to minimize the risk of mosquito breeding.

In a continued effort to promote environmental sustainability, a plantation drive was also organized within the CMO office complex. The staff, led by Dr. Vidhi Bhatial, actively participated in planting trees, thereby contributing to a greener and cleaner environment.
