JAMMU: Welcoming the Indore High Court’s decision regarding the Bhojshala complex in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Raman Suri today termed it a historic correction of a long-standing injustice done to the Hindu community. He said the verdict has once again reaffirmed that truth cannot remain buried forever and that the cultural and spiritual identity of Bharat will always prevail despite centuries of suppression.
Raman Suri stated that Bhojshala was never merely a disputed structure but a sacred center of learning, devotion, and civilization established by the descendants of Raja Bhoj as a temple dedicated to Goddess Vagdevi, Maa Saraswati. He said generations of Hindus carried the pain of seeing their ancient temples altered and their heritage denied, yet they continued to pursue justice through constitutional and peaceful means. “This reclaiming of Bhojshala is a sign that the injustice inflicted upon Hindus for decades is now being resolved through the democratic and judicial framework of the country,” he added.
Drawing parallels with the Ayodhya verdict, Raman Suri said the nation is witnessing the gradual restoration of historical truth. He emphasized that archaeological evidence, inscriptions, temple architecture, and historical records clearly established the Hindu character of Bhojshala, just as facts eventually prevailed in the Ram Janmabhoomi matter. He said such decisions strengthen the faith of millions who believe that India’s ancient temples and civilizational symbols deserve dignity and rightful recognition.
The BJP leader further observed that the Places of Worship Act, 1991 has remained a major obstacle in resolving several historical disputes linked to temples destroyed during foreign invasions. He said while the country respects all religions and believes in communal harmony, harmony cannot be built upon denial of historical realities. “India cannot ignore the truth that invaders destroyed countless temples and attempted to erase the spiritual identity of this land. Accepting history honestly is the first step towards genuine reconciliation and national unity,” Raman Suri said.
Appealing for peace and mutual understanding, Raman Suri said the BJP also remains committed to preserving India’s cultural heritage, protecting places of faith, and ensuring justice for every community through constitutional means. “Bhojshala is not merely about land or structure; it is about restoring pride, faith, and the soul of Bharat. This verdict has rekindled hope among millions who believe that truth and dharma ultimately triumph,” he added.
