• Unemployed youth share plight with Sat Sharma at BJP headquarters

JAMMU: A deputation of unemployed youth from various parts of Jammu & Kashmir called upon Sat Sharma at the Bharatiya Janata Party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, to express resentment over the indifferent attitude of the National Conference government towards the unemployed youth of the Union Territory.

The deputation, led by Brahmjyot Satti, President, BJP OBC Morcha, met Sat Sharma in the presence of BJP General Secretary Baldev Singh Billawaria and several senior party leaders. The youth submitted a memorandum highlighting the growing frustration among educated unemployed youth due to the failure of the NC government to fulfill the poll promises made during the Assembly elections.

The deputation members said that the National Conference had misled the youth with hollow assurances of employment generation, transparent recruitment, and time-bound filling of vacancies. However, after assuming power, the government has completely ignored the aspirations of lakhs of educated unemployed youth who had pinned high hopes on the so-called ā€œpopular government.ā€

The youth expressed serious concern over the delay in recruitment processes and specifically sought intervention regarding various pending posts in the JKSSB department. They said that the precious years of youth are being wasted because of administrative paralysis, lack of direction, and the anti-youth policies of the present dispensation.

Addressing the deputation, Sat Sharma strongly criticized the NC government for what he termed as a ā€œhistoric betrayalā€ of the youth of Jammu & Kashmir. He said that the government has failed to provide any concrete roadmap for employment and has instead pushed the younger generation towards frustration and uncertainty.

ā€œThe youth of Jammu & Kashmir feel cheated and abandoned as the NC government has completely failed to address their genuine concerns and has exposed its lack of seriousness towards employment generation. BJP stands firmly with the youth and will continue to raise their voice at every platformā€, said Sat Sharma.

Assuring full support to the deputation, Sat Sharma said that the BJP would strongly take up the issue with the concerned authorities and continue its struggle to safeguard the interests and future of the youth of Jammu & Kashmir.

Baldev Billawaria said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP has always worked with a commitment towards empowering youth through transparent governance, merit-based recruitment, skill development, and equal opportunities, and J&K BJP will leave no stone unturned to address their issues.
