PULWAMA: J&K Police in Pulwama, in coordination with the Agriculture department official (Fertilizer Inspector), has registered a case under the Essential Commodities Act against an individual for unauthorized storage of fertiliser in the district.

During checking and verification at Parigam, a huge quantity of urea fertiliser was found stored inside a godown. During enquiry, the owner of the fertiliser was identified as Fayaz Ahmad Magray son of Gh. Qadir Magray resident of Kaisermullah Chadoora. Upon verification, the owner failed to produce any valid licence or authorised documents regarding the storage and possession of the fertiliser. Acting on the matter, FIR No. 93/2026 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Pulwama. Further investigation into the matter is underway.

Police remains committed towards strict enforcement of law and urges the general public to cooperate with Police and report any illegal hoarding, black marketing or unauthorized storage of essential commodities in their respective areas.
