JAMMU: Asha Kiran Welfare Society Organized Chabeel to provide relief to Jammu Citizens on 11-06-2026. In a continuous effort to serve humanity and provide relief from the scorching summer heat, the Asha Kiran Welfare Society organized a community Chabeel (a stall offering free, sweet, cold drinking water) at Janipur, Jammu. The Chabeel was set up with the aim of providing refreshing relief to pedestrians, commuters, and daily wage workers braving the intense daytime temperatures.

Hundreds of locals and travelers benefited from the initiative, receiving cups of chilled, sweet water. Speaking on the occasion, the Society’s Chairman, Dr. J.P. Gupta, emphasized the organization's core commitment to grassroots-level community welfare. He noted, ā€œOrganizing such drives during the peak summer months reflects our unwavering dedication to supporting the underprivileged and spreading the message of compassion and brotherhood.

We must continue our collective efforts to expand social activities in the area for the welfare of the people.ā€In his message, the Society’s President, Dr. Vikrant Sharma, lauded the spirit of the volunteers and the local public. ā€œWater is the ultimate source of life, and serving it to the thirsty is the highest form of humanity. We are grateful to the residents of Janipur for their overwhelming support, and our team remains dedicated to launching more such social welfare initiatives in the coming days,ā€ he stated.

Senior Vice President Jaswant Manhas also extended his gratitude to the team, adding, ā€œOur volunteers worked tirelessly to manage the stall and ensure that everyone passing through the area was served with respect. This drive is a small step towards fostering a stronger sense of mutual obligation and community care among our fellow citizens.ā€The proactive approach of the society was widely appreciated by the local residents and commuters of Janipur, who thanked the team for their timely public service.
