KULGAM: A review meeting of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) for Agriculture and Allied Sectors was held today under the chairmanship of Altaf Ahmad Khan, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Kulgam.

The meeting was attended by officers from the Departments of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, Sericulture, Horticulture, and Horticulture Planning & Marketing.

A detailed review of all HADP projects was conducted, focusing on the physical and financial progress achieved under various components of the programme. During the meeting, the ADDC reviewed the status of farmer registration, KYC completion, beneficiary coverage, and other key performance indicators. Special attention was given to those projects and sectors where achievements remained below the prescribed targets.

The concerned officers were directed to identify bottlenecks and take immediate corrective measures to improve performance. The chair emphasized the importance of timely implementation of HADP initiatives and stressed the need for close coordination among all allied departments to ensure the successful achievement of programme objectives.

He expressed concern over the slow progress in certain areas, particularly farmer registration, KYC verification, and other beneficiary-oriented interventions.  Khan directed all departments to bridge the existing gaps, accelerate field-level activities, and ensure that all pending targets are achieved within the stipulated timeframe.

He further informed that another review meeting will be held within the next few days to assess the progress made and review compliance with the directions issued during the meeting. The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all departments to strengthen implementation mechanisms and ensure the effective delivery of HADP benefits to the farming community across the district.
