POONCH: The Industrial Training Institute (ITI)   Poonch hosted Udyam YUVA Fest under the aegis of the Mission YUVA initiative. Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma was the Chief Guest, while Additional District Development Commissioner Pankaj Magotra, JKAS was the Guest of Honour. The programme was jointly organised by the Office of the Deputy Director Employment and Government Polytechnic College (GPC) Sathra.

A key feature of the programme was the Felicitation Ceremony of Udyam Competition Winners, held across four categories — Quiz, Essay Writing, Painting, and Speech — which had been conducted on 26th September at GPC Sathra. The Chief Guest presented awards to the top three performers in each category, commending their creativity and dedication.

The highlight of the fest was student-led exhibition stalls, showcasing projects models of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Plumbing and Painting.  These exhibits demonstrated the hands-on technical expertise and innovation nurtured in the institutions.

A Mission YUVA Facilitation Desk was established by the District Employment & Counselling Centre (DE&CC) Poonch to spread awareness about various components of the Mission YUVA scheme and to address on-the-spot queries and grievances of aspiring beneficiaries.

The Fest featured multiple interactive sessions, including Alumni Connect, Skill Expo, YUVA Career Compass and Resume Building Workshops. Over 250 students participated, predominantly from ITI Poonch and GPC Sathra. The audience received in-depth orientation on the core pillars of Mission YUVA, including financial literacy, placement readiness, entrepreneurship development and industry collaboration.
