NISHAT (SRINAGAR) Under clear autumn skies on September 17, 2025, the Zonal Physical Education Office at Nishat, Srinagar, transformed its courtyard into a vibrant arena of community service and fitness during Sewa Parv 2025. Organized to celebrate the ethos of “Nation First, Health Always,” the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff in a series of wellness drills, team-building exercises, and service-oriented activities.

Early morning drills led by senior instructors energized over fifty participants, who followed precise calisthenics sequences designed to promote physical well-being and mental focus. Uniformed students demonstrated impeccable discipline as they performed synchronized squats, lunges, and sit-ups on bright blue mats, embodying the synergy between health and service.

Highlighting the spirit of Sewa Parv, volunteers organized a “Fitness for All” station where elder members of neighboring communities were guided through gentle stretches and balance exercises. This intergenerational engagement underscored the inclusive vision of the Zonal PE Office—extending the message that wellness transcends age and background.

Complementing the exercises were team challenges emphasizing cooperation and mutual support. Participants formed pairs to complete cooperative sit-up relays, and faculty members guided teams through trust-building maneuvers. The laughter and camaraderie were palpable as students cheered their peers, reinforcing bonds beyond the regular classroom environment.

In a poignant finale, the event concluded with a flag-lowering ceremony featuring a moment of silence to honor frontline workers who dedicate themselves to public service. The Principal, addressing the gathering, lauded the collective effort: “Sewa Parv 2025 exemplifies our commitment to unity through service and wellness. Today’s enthusiasm reaffirms our belief that vibrant health and community spirit go hand in hand.”

By merging disciplined physical training with heartfelt community engagement, the Zonal Physical Education Office at Nishat delivered a memorable Sewa Parv that not only promoted fitness but also celebrated the power of selfless service.
