• Dr. Khwaja Farooq Renzushah presides over a celebration of Kashmir’s Spiritual Legacy

SRINAGAR, SHAHAR-E-KHASS: In a remarkable celebration of Kashmir’s spiritual and Sufi heritage, Dr. Khwaja Farooq Renzushah presided over a profound Tasawuf Samaa Saadaat Natiya event at the Historical Saiki Dafar Eidgah. The gathering, organized by the Damdaar Sufi Samut in collaboration with the Abrar Foundation & Constructions, served as a heartfelt tribute to the timeless traditions of Tasawuf through the recitation of poetic works by revered Sufi poets of Kashmir.

The event was graced by eminent poets and spiritual personalities whose soulful naatiya kalam and samaa filled the air with divine ecstasy. Among the notable participants were Manzoor Ahmad Damdar, Jenab Fakir Muhammad Sultan, Jenab Muhammad Sultan Nago, Jenab Farooq Doon ibn-e-Gul Doon, Jenab Bashir Asrar, Jenab Javeed Jawahar, Jenab Ghulam Qadir, Jenab Ab Rahim, Jenab Fakir Muhammad Ahmad Malura, Jenab Nasir Ahmad Rathar, and Syeda Mariyum Duha, President of Dukhtaraan-e-Tasawuf. The revered Jenab Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Faqeer, Mohtarma Rihaana Jee, and numerous Ashiqaan-e-Rasool (lovers of the Prophet ﷺ) and Ashiqaan-e-Awliya (lovers of the saints) were also in attendance.

In his deeply inspirational address, Dr. Renzushah paid glowing tribute to the Tasawuf luminaries of Shahar-e-Khass, highlighting how the valley of Kashmir was chosen by the great Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to be enlightened by the radiant glow of spirituality through the blessed arrival of Hazrat Abdul Rahman Bulbulshah (RA) and Hazrat Ameer-e-Kabeer Shah Hamdaan (RA).

Dr. Renzushah elaborated on the epochal transformation that occurred when Bulbulshah (RA) arrived in Kashmir during the reign of King Padmasambhava Sultan Sader-ud-Deen Rinchenshah and his revered consort, Sultana Kota Rani Reshi, the Reshi Queen of Kashmir. Their acceptance of Bulbulshah as their Murshid-e-Azam (spiritual guide) marked the dawn of a new spiritual renaissance — safeguarding the valley from the destructive invasions of Dalcha while infusing it with a profound culture of peace, unity, and divine love.

Calling upon the audience to nurture the sacred flame of Tasawuf, Dr. Renzushah emphasized its vital role in sustaining Kashmir’s legacy of brotherhood, compassion, and spiritual enlightenment. He urged all participants to continue the mission of the saints — spreading the message of harmony and universal love that transcends barriers of faith and identity.

The event concluded with prayers and poetic recitations that resonated deeply with the spirit of Shahar-e-Khass, reaffirming the timeless message that the essence of Kashmir lies in its soul — illuminated by the teachings of its saints, poets, and lovers of the Divine.
